That's actually an interesting EV. It looks like it will compete with the Rivian R2 and Hummer EV in the top trims.

ROTFL. I'm reading all the adoring headlines about how we finally have an affordable BEV offroader. At $60,000. Meanwhile the Rivian R2 is inbound at $45,000. And Rivian says they're actually going to build to that price point at launch.

I'm probably underestimating how dumb the car buying public can be. But I predict a sales flop. Probably a big surge the first few months, because it will be the "look at me" car. But then it falls on its face. Hope I'm wrong (really I do), but that's what I expect.

I still have trouble with an EV ORV. 250 miles of range is paved roads use in temperate weather. I guess on the east coast that is sufficient range(?). Utah, Colorado, California, I'm not so sure. If you are planning a camping trip deep off grid where you bring spare fuel with you it's a no-go.

Also, pull the doors and roof off, and the efficiency drops. Fine for an ICE ORV; my Bronco drops about 2 MPG down to 20 when naked, but I can refuel nearly anywhere in 5 minutes.

We'll see how it sells.

Starting price $67k which is a non-starter. The depreciation in the first year will be more than what a new slate costs.

I don't think that really matters for the 99% of people who buy a Wrangler as a daily driver, never once taking it offroad lol. For most they want to know they have the ability to do it, or are unwilling to admit to themselves it'll never be used as intended haha
