Creating a poll to determine whether you were drawn to the Slate for its looks or the price. Letās be honest.
I added a few other possible responses.
Tesla no longer provides key fobs with new vehicles, although you can order them as options. Instead you get a set of key cards that you can slip in your wallet. Once authenticated your phone is the main key. I give the key card to the service guys as a valet key. And you canāt loose š a fob...
I believe that slot in the dash is just a convenient āplace holderā for the key with no functionality. I would rather just leave the key in my pocket so itās not left behind when I leave. Most likely you will get a ākey left behindā alert on your app, and wonāt be able to lock it. Thatās how...
When I heard that term āportfolioā in the video, I thought Slate was referring to add on accessories and customization options. They need to get the basic platform in the hands of customers before they consider any variations. Hence the term āSlate is listeningā means they need real world...
I totally see your point, but I donāt consider a few ālow budgetā videos
lasting about 15 seconds on social media networks as a serious marketing campaign. Letās wait for a real TV commercial perhaps on Motor Trend TV if they really want to reach out in a big way to auto enthusiasts. But that...
I apologize I misinterpreted your acronym for āLIā as lithium iron Instead of Lithium Ion. I studied chemistry many years ago but still recall the symbol for iron is Fe. Thanks for setting me straight!
While I like this option, it will undoubtedly add extra cost to the base truck. However, I think it will work best as an after-sale accessory for owners who want extra security who live and work in areas where vandalism is a concern.
Slate has far more pressing priorities than integrating a dashcam into their app, which is still in development. In addition, itās not a hotly desired option for a majority of customers. I have aftermarket solutions in my vehicles and they work perfectly well. The OEM (non Tesla) solutions...
Yes, I think there was some discussion about taking delivery at regional or service centers. But once your Slate goes on the auto carrier the freight charge will likely be added to the invoice.
I'm not 100% certain but I believe the title was modified by the Administrator to add the "No Politics" warning. This is in accordance with the Ts and Cs of the forum rules.
Scout Motors recently announced that "factory delivery" will be available in 2027 at its assembly plant in Blythewood, S.C. I think Slate Auto should take notice and offer the same in Warsaw IN. They should consider requesting a waiver with local government representatives that currently bans...
Since you mentioned it, cabin overheat protection is definitely a nice option. I doubt that Slate will have this feature. The only drawback is that it adds a drain to the battery. Iāve been doing fine without it. Instead I just use a windshield sun blind and itās just as effective without...
The law requires all passengers have a restraint system such as seat belts. So at a minimum Slate would need to add belts for the middle jump seat. Regarding air bags, you are correct. Not currently required by law.
If Slate fully adopts the Tesla direct to consumer model then they can offer āusedā or ādemoā models for sale on their website.
Using Tesla as an example, they offer a huge inventory of used trade in or demos at very attractive discounted prices.
If Slate offers a free wrap to give a used...
Slate, or any startup for that matter, needs to build credibility with consumers. A sure way to lose it is to not honor their āmid-twentiesā advertised price.
We are not dealing with established automakers like Ford or Tesla who have burned us in the past with the Lightning or Cybertruck.
