What they don't tell you: Delivery fees to your home are extra. and added onto original freight costs beyond the base price of the truck.

Regarding EV incentives....
At one of the plants where I work, I once submitted a capital expenditure project for installing "free" EV chargers in the company parking lot. I thought this would get easily approved...since it promotes clean energy and is aligned with corporate green energy...
Would love to see "mobile service" network wherein a technician does repairs at your home or office. Tesla provides mobile service for routine stuff, and the service center for more complex repairs. Remember this is a simpler vehicle with less tech and fewer moving parts along with (hopefully)...
Are there any construction updates to the facility renovation in Warsaw? I consider this one of the major risk factors if Slate is to deliver product in approximately 18 months. The infrastructure at the old RR Donnelley plant is seriously dated, as the plant was built in the 1950s. Over the...
This forum is open to virtually anyone, full access to registered members, although non-members and guests have read only access. I'm certain that Slate employees and management occasionally review and / or search key words to take the pulse of their fan club. That said, if I worked at...
Admittedly, I have been a "fan" of Doug Demuro for quite some time. I have successfully auctioned off two high end vehicles on his "Cars and Bids" platform. There is no question Doug has been in the auto industry a long time and I greatly admire his expansive knowledge.
That said, I am not...
For those of us old enough to remember, customizing audio was a big deal back in the day. Manufacturers were offering only basic AM/ FM radios and maybe a cassette deck. One of the first tasks I would do after getting my new car home was to rip out the OEM head unit / speakers and upgrade with...
Totally agree with your statement. While I originally thought that the Slate could be used as an Uber, the reality quickly set in. The concept of rideshare is seriously flawed with o 2-door vehicle. No Uber driver is going to 'share' the front row with a riding passenger. Not happening.
I'm certain the senior management at Slate Auto is keenly aware that 'everything' is kind of riding on their claim to deliver product in Q426. They presented a very solid business case to secure Series A / B funding. Now to further build their credibility as someone here has mentioned...
Not going to happen. Slate was designed as an EV from the ground up. Did anyone really believe the current federal incentives would last through the first round of deliveries in 2026-27?
Best case scenario would be to offer incentives on bundling options, e.g. extended range battery , SUV...
It’s been my experience is that nobody remembers to plug in and recharge pallet jacks, forklifts, etc. And when it’s time for you to use it, the charge is nearly empty. This mindset needs to change with a Slate in your fleet.
Slate has often suggested in their media reveals that their vehicles would be perfect for fleet sales, e.g. delivery services, home repair contractor, property management, commercial plumbing, HVAC and electrical contractors, etc.
The Slate sanctioned commercial “Human Grade” presents an...
Not sure, but in this view, it appears the hidden dash panel has a 12V power car plug for ham radios, dashcams, and radar detectors. USB ports would also be nice!
