I'm gonna guess the Slate app is going to require cel service by default. Probably what they'll be using for their over the air updates and so the app will expect a connection to check for those. I've still got this sitting in my closet waiting for the perfect car...

I really wish they'd give us at least one solid video of it just driving around. No cuts, nothing fancy. A simple ride along for a minute or two on some basic suburban roads.

It's a rough render but Slate has shown an accessory switch set that goes in the middle of the truck, above the HVAC controls. So your fog light switches would be right in the center!

I've mentioned before but one of my friends has a paint booth and we're gonna find out if we can get our hands on a Slate.

This is probably going to be the slowest time of the Slate timeline. They're still finalizing the prototype and anything they show isn't gonna be the final result so they can't reveal too much. In a few months from now once they get it 100% figured out, I bet we'll start seeing Slate University...

It's hard to compete with that shape. The Slate and Rivian are only a little more raked forward than a Range Rover.

They have their design studio in California so I wouldn't be surprised if they have a dedicated group that just shows up to California events.
