SO? they will not suddenly turn on the factory at full-bore on Friday Jan-2nd 2026.
Between now, and whenever it really happens, they'll hand-build a bunch of prototype / demo units. Thats what we are all eager to see at car shows, races, "reveal" events, and so on.

Then they'll build and sell a few thousand units in 2026

And hopefully a lot more in 2027

I've been of the mindset that Slate Auto's main big accomplishment will be to build an economical, dependable, and adaptable vehicle.

Now I'm starting to realize their main big accomplishment will be to build an economical, dependable, and adaptable factory.
