2 Slate trucks spotted on road in Arizona

It's the peak of summer so I'm guessing these are stress test models for how getting roasted in the Arizona sun treats the batteries and motor setup.

Testing that Nissan never did for the LEAF.

I'm just noticing that it looks like the charging port is on the passenger side in this new photo and the two Arizona trucks at the beginning of the thread. The renders on slate.auto and the trucks that went on tour have the charging port on the driver's side. I don't really have a preference, just thought it's interesting.

It has been noted and clarified in interviews that some of the preproduction units had the charging port on different sides, while the production units will have it on the same side as Tesla, for ease of charging on their chargers.
