Two women and an ectomorph with a manbun fit pretty well. That’s more shoulder room than I expected. Nice!
You might not be reading the proposed audience for back seat? Two women and an ectomorph with a manbun fit pretty well.
Three Average American Adult Males might fit a little tighter.
Haha, average adult male weight is now around 198lbs at 5’9”, compared to 160lbs at 5’9”ish from the ‘60s.Two women and an ectomorph with a manbun fit pretty well.

I do. I think the back seat's mostly for kiddos. You might not be reading the proposed audience for back seat?
Ha! I had an eclipse convertible turbo about 30 years ago (super fun), but ONLY kids ever dared ride in the back.Haha, average adult male weight is now around 198lbs at 5’9”, compared to 160lbs at 5’9”ish from the ‘60s.
It’ll be a tight fit for sure!
I’m 260 endomorph at 5’10” and did not like sitting in the back seat of my Integras and Eclipse. The Slate seems like it’ll be a tight fit on those back seats.
For me it’ll be my 3 kids and me and the wife in the front.
Now let me watch them buckle 😂😂😂😂
Which is the main thing, since people don't expect a backseat to comfortably fit 5 full sized adults. They expect it to comfortably fit 2 full sized adults or 3 kids (and less comfortably fit 3 full sized adults as needed). Which Slate has achieved according to all available information.I do. On the bright side two adults fit back there with room to spare.
Yes. What vehicles fit 3 full sized adults in the back seat comfortably? Only some LARGER vehicles do that.Which is the main thing, since people don't expect a backseat to comfortably fit 5 full sized adults. At least my uncles ‘89 Toyota pickup had more legroom in the back compared to this Lexus. Still remember having to sit in these fold down rear seatsApparently Lexus got a discount on Crash Test Dummies that don't come with the Leg Kit. (Lexus convertibles have very little leg room in the back.)

At least you got to face forward. My dad's S-10 had two jump seats my brother and I had to sit in on a cross country drive one summer. That's a long trip facing each other, knees together. At least my uncles ‘89 Toyota pickup had more legroom in the back compared to this Lexus. We routinely stuffed four high-schoolers in my friend's '99 Sebring coupe. It would bottom out the suspension but it got the job done!Ha! I had an eclipse convertible turbo about 30 years ago (super fun), but ONLY kids ever dared ride in the back.
My brother had one of these! I never sat in them for drives but tried to sit in there one time and got right out.At least you got to face forward.
