I'd love to see Slate collaborating with manufacturers of disability modifications to create similarly DIY yet safe modifications for folx in wheelchairs, little people, and others.
Interesting, my wife fits in there currently and her ortho surgeon says she could very well endup back in a wheelchair eventually. Things like handholds, side steps definitely an interest at this point. A pivoting front seat?

If we do wind up with a Slate (looking doubtful as competition heats up), we plan on getting the lowering kit day-1 to assist with climbing in / out.

Hand holds, grab straps, running boards, etc. should all be made available.

They already have running boards shown on the maker, though some have commented that they may not be necessary even at standard height, and I'm not sure the couple of inches from the lowering kit will make much difference, the truck just isn't that high to start.
Hand holds, grab straps seem like they would be easily doable, and could even already be in the works.
Going beyond that gets into stuff that's going to be low enough percentages that it's probably custom stuff, and the truck should be easily customizable.
