With gas prices about to skyrocket I wish I had ordered 2 with 1 to sell because suddenly electric will become all the rage. When gas hits 4 or 5 dollars the math is there.

If watching gas prices has taught me one thing, it is that people like their cars. When I started driving, it was $1.10. You would think that at some point people would start buying more fuel efficient cars, but that doesn't seem to be the case. The vast majority get the large SUV or truck instead of the efficient sedan\small suv\small truck.

I put in a reservation the morning after launch. The next day I thought what the hell was I thinking and put in a second one. The next day I thought what the hell, it is only $50 more dollars. Then I realized I was not sure how I would afford the first one and decided to stay at 2 reservations.

It will be interesting to see if BEV sales see any kind of blip this spring. Consumers often make knee-jerk purchase decisions, and anything that gets more people into a BEV is a good thing. Once they drive a BEV, very few go back to ICE. I think the retention rate is 90% or more?

Also, more BEVs from more OEMs are coming onto the market. The Kia EV3 will be a biggie. And the Rivian R2 for more well funded buyers. And lots more. I think several dozen new models arrive this year, even with many OEMs cancelling product.

Well outside of CA I'm not sure that will happen.
But I wish not to chat about Pot-licks (politics) here.

True, Toyota/Lexus/Suburu will be putting out their triplets late fall, apparently and should each be a reliable vehicle- that look more or less like space ships. Really really comfortable spaceships.
