If the temperatures are at their extreme, 50 or 90, do I need to precondition the batteries ( or heat or cool the batteries, whatever you call it ) before I drive? Sorry for all the EV newby questions.

Andy with a garage temp ranging from 50 to 90, you’ll be fine. In that range I never bother with pre-conditioning. In fact, when just running local miles I don’t pre-condition no matter how cold it gets.
