Yes, but damn it ugly. There are number of advantages to a Telo. Battery sizes are for 260 and 350 miles. Max speed is 135mph. You can choose two or four wheel drive with one or two motors. The rear seats can be folded down so that eight foot panels can be slid in while shutting the tailgate. It has a default sun roof. Telo is 22.6 inches shorter than Slate. Telo has a charging speed of 400kW if you have a suitable charger otherwise it is 250kW.
The odd look of the Telo comes from maximizing a minimum space for four doors with a bed that will handle 4x8 foot sheets. All in the length of a mini Cooper. https://www.telotrucks.com/
Looking forward to seeing one in real life. Maybe it looks better from the rear? Can't drive in reverse all the time though! It is growing on me. I have put in a reservation and am at position 11345. The key factor is that it will provide 350 miles of travel or 280 at 80%.
I’ve got reservation # 2061 on the Telo. I have more confidence of Slate meeting their projected timeline than Telo or the new Ford. I will buy either the Slate or Telo, whoever is first to tell me my reservation is up for configuration. If it’s a tie, I think I go with the Slate. Slate will have a greater likelihood of great reliability due to simplicity and the experience in the organization. It is growing on me. I have put in a reservation and am at position 11345. PJ, Telo would be VERY useful in ATL. Much easier to park and enough torque to get you in/out of traffic. I guess we wait and see.I’ve got reservation # 2061 on the Telo. All great. BUT when? Slate, Scout, Telo, Ford T3... all etherware. I'm tired of all this, "we have a better (electic) idea", blah, blah, blah. I've decided to not pay attention until there's sellable rolling stock on the street. There are number of advantages to a Telo. Battery sizes are for 260 and 350 miles. Max speed is 135mph.
