@pursuit @AZFox Glad you brought this up. I recall another YT car channel (Motor Trend) bringing this up and getting shredded by the chat just for mentioning it. I’ve commented on it as well and folks make it seem like it’s a zero percent chance. His Slate Truck video is one of the most clicked videos on his channel. Now, after giving the Truck some thought, he thinks parts theft will be a problem.
We haven't seen all the details, but it's been implied, and some of the photos shared after your reply show some tabs and stuff, that it isn't as simple as removing those exposed screws on a locked truck. There would be more screws or other attachments hidden behind the closed door, hood, tailgate, etc meaning you need to open those to actually remove stuff. So apparently once Slate hits the market it spawns an instant stolen parts market?
Here you go. What your Slate truck will look like when you park overnight in the wrong part of town.Would be interesting to see what Slate Truck looks like without the body panels.
This is about what my Integra looked like when the OPD found it in West Oakland. HahaHere you go. What your Slate truck will look like when you park overnight in the wrong part of town.
