If we're going with crank windows, please Slate, please go retro and use good 'ole 7" sealed beam GLASS globe headlamps. Like the ones from GE that every 1960's and 1970's car had. Cheap to replace and they'll NEVER glaze over like most every modern plastic aero headlamp does after 5 years.

Heck, make it a personalization item to go either rectangular or round.

Hard pass - horrible lighting, massively power inefficient, generally ugly. I would love to see a real glass lens tho. HID generally has that covered.

The "lenses" on my 16 year old Honda go milky about every 3 years - 10 minutes with a buffer and some toothpaste powder and they're clear as glass again (and minty-fresh). Not a huge deal for me.

You've probably not driven behind a set of Hella's, especially European Hella H4 with 80/100 watt bulbs. But it doesn't mean an LED can't be substituted for the light source. My last car with standard headlamps, a 1973 Ford, that I was driving as late as 1989, had 7" H6024 lamps and the lighting was excellent.

Modern cars with fancy plastic areo headlights basically get totaled after 10 years or so when headlamp replacements are required for collision repair.

Personally I would like to see round halo headlights as an add-on option. It would create a G-wagon or Bronco sport look. :)
