Awesome Designs!

Was joking with the wife this morning that I was going to install screens all the way across the dash that can ONLY get over the air TV. And add one of those rooftop antenna direction controllers on top of the dash. She rolled her eyes as she often does with my idiotic thoughts.

Real wood methinks, that's the ticket. Eucalyptus maybe.

Was thinking a while back, a nice Koa veneer. Even looked it up.

I love how those broad, nearly flat panels beg to be customized.

I'm thinking that nice brown genuine leather covers could be nice. Not vinyl/"pleather", real full-grain cow skin with some texture/patina.

Wood would be my second choice.

Blued/gunmetal gray steel or an anodized aluminum sheet could look and feel neat too!

Carbon fiber (again, the real stuff, not a textured vinyl decal that looks like carbon fiber) is a distant third, I've actually got some composites experience and could DIY some real ones but all the chintzy plastic "carbon" accessories have ruined it.

Snakeskin isn't my style, but you do you! I like the orbital sander swirl idea for some surfaces, but wouldn't want it on a dashboard.

Assuming Slate is successful, you can guarantee these will eventually be available. Either cheap mass produced stuff or really nice much more expensive versions.
I am hoping for both.

It would be a great irony to dress up a Slate in top notch high end furnishings. Somebody is bound to do this.
Even better to raid the Rolls Royce catalog for supple and durable high-altitude Bavarian bull leather, mirror-finished book-matched open-pore wood veneers, deep-pile lamb’s wool floor mats, solid milled stainless steel accents, and a customized fiber-optic starlight headliner to end up with the perfect Slate Royce.
And don't forget the swarovski crystal key fob!
150k in options on a 25k truck😂

You can still "Pimp yo Slate" with loads of the finest rare "Nauga"
In the spirit of "pimp my ride" you could be rollin in a pimped out "nauga-hyde" wrap. Cover the whole damn truck in the truly authentic, fine artisinal leopard Naugas from Phakistan.

Love it!!
I want fake black and white fleck moo-cow granite panels on my dash.
That gives me an idea that I'm surprised isn't in this list yet: Faux fur. Holstein cows, leopard print, zebra stripes, the possibilities are huge.
