I was looking at the B Pillar decals, but they are listed as advanced. They don't look that difficult to install compared to other dacals that are listed as beginner. Am I missing something? Makes me wonder if other advanced items are really not that hard.

My guess is alignment between the two panels. Gotta be plumb, and those stripes have to match or it will look like crap.

I'm guessing Slate is going with overstating difficulty on the premise, "underpromise, overdeliver". If you tell a customer it's hard, and they accomplish the task - that's a happy customer. And a happy corporate lawyer.

Probably mislabeled, that could have gotten switched by accident with another wrap or someone was cutting and pasting too fast on the instructions.

I agree. Wheels are listed as professional but that would be a super easy change.

However, if the wheels fall off, that is very bad.

I see that Slate is thinking about the needs of all sorts of fleet customers.
Hey now -- a Slate is the perfect platform for a sh*tty technical. For regime changes on a modern budget...

Pop off the body panels, pop on the upfitted armor between 'em, drop the tools in the bed...

The Slate truck may be the greatest thing ever. By the Slate website, as of today, is really poor.

It's cheap, maintainable, and repairable; it's got replaceable composite panels, RWD with balanced/rear weight bias, and you can power it with any source of electricity, making for flexible supply lines!

Slate said they were inspired by several historical people's cars, including the Model T; which was used as a truck in WW1, and the basis for armored cars.

Of course, the Model T was very early and there weren't many options then. However, Slate mentioned another people's car that had notable military conversions and stayed in production for over 60 years! Which one? Don't worry about it.
...
So, amphibious Slate when?
(I find this comparison and Slate's apparent flexible utility far too amusing for my own good).

Yeah, the website sucks, in a lot of ways. I made it to one Slate event early last year, and I told them that the way updates and events weren't visible on the front page meant I almost didn't know it was happening. No changes, there.
My opinion is a bit balanced by the many common annoying web design choices they didn't do wrong. Even "sometimes, there are CORNERS" deserves an award these days...

They need to do better for sure.

The site better be ship-shape by the time ordering comes around.
