So, it's a 1 day event, Halloween night...
It's a full hour and a half drive one way for me, if there is no traffic, so I'll probably be waiting for another event. If this was in the day, on a weekend, and somewhere that wasn't likely to be crowded like this will, with many people who won't even be noticing the truck, I'd consider the trip.

LA is always crowded. It makes attending events always a hassle especially when it comes to parking.

I'm just guessing being at a trunk or treat event at a park, it's going to be a crowded mess with a bunch of costumed kids even without the truck being there to look at.
I can imagine they go with an orange and black jack-o-lantern wrap, themed light covers, etc, stuff I've thought would work for taking a slate to a trunk or treat, but I can't justify to myself driving that far to look at it in the semi-dark

Would be cool if Slate had a glow in the dark style wrap if possible.

We should have a poll where we could vote yes if we've actually touched a Slate. It would be interesting to see how many of us have. They're coming to Charlotte, but I can't justify a four hour roundtrip just to see and maybe touch a not-production-representative test mule.

Hoping Slate shows up at a few auto shows. Now that would expose them to lots of people. But it costs real money to appear at a major show.

Great! Big parking lot and easily accessible a few blocks north of the 405. The swap meet is in the parking lot and draws a lot of visitors but the parking lot should be able to accommodate.
After, checkout the former Boeing C17 hanger on the west side of Long Beach Airport where Relativity Space now resides.

That does sound better than a Halloween night car show in a small park. Still a 3-4 hour round trip for me depending on traffic though. Don't know that I want to invest that much time to get a chance to see a prototype/mockup of the truck, unless I had another reason to go most of that way. LA is so big, go somewhere farther north next time, maybe even north of the city entirely.

In my way of thinking none of us have.

The prototypes are just models of what will actually be produced.

I don't even think the body panels on those are made of the same material as production body panels will have.

That has been confirmed I believe. Even if you get to sit in it, that works to see how it works with your height, but the seats are off the shelf temporary ones, photos have shown significantly different seats on different prototypes, and I think these were all built before they hired a seat designer, someone had noticed a job listing for seat designer. The buttons are 3d printed non functional mockups as well.
