Kind of interesting for a ev go to this type of event lots of classic cars and trucks by the looks of it on the good guys and LMC website where you can get tickets

also highly recommend using the google maps and putting the person down in the middle of the racetrack a good view

Well Slate has a very old school classic square body style design any person that goes to that event that even considers owning an EV one day I could see being interested in the Slate Truck. Also for the older people there a lot of older car buyers that might want to get an EV hate how high tech they have become. So Slate’s approach of using all their infotainment in their phone optionally and everything else using more traditional buttons and dials will likely appeal to that buyer demographic.

Hopefully this means they are getting a lot of interest from Texans! The FW Stockyards has a PBR showcase before the first event, maybe they are trying to go after two different segments? Or they just found it easier to hang out a week before going on to the next event lol.

i did ask them about the event for lmc event

Hi Bailey,
Thanks for reaching out. We’re planning to take a Slate prototype to several states through our Slate-to-State Roadshow so more people can experience it up close, and the LMC Truck Spring Lone Star Nationals felt like a fun way to connect with a really passionate truck community. While it’s known for classics and muscle cars, we appreciate events that celebrate truck culture in all its forms, and we’re excited to be part of that conversation.
We hope to make it out to Arizona down the road as well!

Hmm. It seems folks in Texas are kind of spoiled. Two events back to back, and I’m still waiting for anything remotely close to the Northeast.

Guess it’s time to travel “Deep in the heart of Texas.” Maybe start with South Padre Island for a much needed vacation.

Becoming a Team Member of the “Slate to State Road Show” is definitely a job I’d like to apply for.

Where can I sign up?

In you find yourself passing through Galveston, I recommend stopping by Miller's Seawall Grill.

The Lone Star Nationals is a huge custom truck show, so it makes a lot of sense for them to go there. Especially since it's just up the road from the stockyards. There's also a massive swap meet there and I've already got plans with a few other members of the auto club to go to the swap meet. Hopefully I can get them to the Slate showing without buying a ticket to the full on show. I know a few of them are planning on getting one (but haven't given the $50 yet!)
