The thing I've heard about ducks, from a few of my friends in the Jeep community, was that it was supposed to be like 'hey, nice Jeep!" amongst Wrangler owners. But that quickly spiraled into 'If I buy a bag of ducks and litter my dashboard with them, everyone will know people think my Jeep Renegade is cool!" and kind of took the fun out of it. Slatelets being internal, at least don't lend themselves to showing off too much.

For MINIs, there are a wide selection of grill badges (by GoBadge). I prefer displaying subtle vinyl decals on the rear hatch/glass.

I think the rubber duck trend is just Jeeps, one of the reasons we were considering a Bronco a few years back instead of the Wrangler as we didn't want the hassle. If someone puts a duck on a non-Jeep like a Scout or Bronco I think they're confused.

I think it started around Covid, in Canada of all places, and at first it was neat but now we see people with their 1 and a half foot high windshield blocked by as many ducks as they can fit on the dashboard, that's gotta fail inspection right?

I think the Slatelets are trying to be a similar trend, but more personal like boy scout badges or something.

I do the stickers on the back window, mainly behind the seats where I can't see out anyways.
