Ok so I messaged slate about the after market body panels and if they would provide support this is their response

Cheap handheld laser scanners are pretty easy to come by these days, and can have sub-millimeter accuracy. Whether provided by Slate or the hobbyist community, finding accurate models should be pretty simple.

mmm that is true I just had got one maybe a couple years ago now and it was not foot so haven’t kept up with it I hope they are better

Looks like Yolanda’s phone number is the same as was mentioned in the “Did you get a call from Slate” thread. 833-HI-SLATE

Laser scanners are cheap and easy to use. Always better to go to the source so you’re not just perpetuating any manufacturing errors from what you’re scanning.
