Poll: Which part of the Slate website are you looking forward to the most?

Hey kids, dreaming is nice and lord knows I do my share. But the fact is; NOTHING happens until the final production version is decided and we see Slates rolling out of Warsaw. It will be mind numbingly slow at first. But this is when we will see real world numbers, specks, and soon after price. When that happens expect to see a surge in questions. e.g. I have heard single DIN and double DIN thrown around, which will it be? Will they offer bolt in mounts and plugs or just give us a set of specs? I want to go for the retro push button radio look, good "in dash" speakers would do me fine.

What features will be tied together? If I want 20" aggressive tires, will it have to be lifted? How much control will the Phone app have? e.g. Can I adjust the tire size for accurate speed and distance readings? Remote defrost, heat, cool, camper mode?

Honestly, the Slate news I'm most interested is the results of their C series round of financing. Because Slate has said that's the money that gets them to production. Which sort of, kind of, maybe contradicts what the Slate CEO said earlier in the year (that the $700 million in hand was enough to reach production). I think the C Series opened in July or August of this year.

Beyond that and pricing, the only Slate news I really want is test drivesof production line vehicles from auto journalists I trust. I think the most awesome thing Slate could do would be to hand over an early Slate off the production line to TFL. Let them use and abuse it and present their findings. Hey, if you have a good product, what do you have to lose? It's win-win, right?

I will not buy a Slate until I see those journalistic reviews. No way.

Took me a few minutes to search on what TFL is - LOL. But I'd be interested in reviews from actual owners who take early delivery (hopefully I'll be one!). I hope Slate has an "Owners Review" section added to their website. I think people who have skin in the game will give a more honest review rather than internet media looking for click counts.

While I think he is probably one of the most well-versed automotive aficionados on the planet, I can no longer count on Leno anymore for critical review of new automotive products.

The trend here seems to be a thirst for concrete information, instead of general guidance and vague promises.

☑ Measured Drawings/CAD models of bolt and T-slot dimensions

They keep talking about "makers", and I want to know where I might route wires for a dashcam, how to attach a major dashboard customization, or what kind of small backpack-size container I can 3D print to fit behind the seats.

I'm sure that they're still finalizing designs for some of these things, but it will be an exciting milestone when the information is available.
