Regen Braking

Will the Slate have adjustable regen breaking and/or able to turn it off?

if so where will that adjustablity be controlled from?

Turning it off means all your stopping is done by brake pads, which is going to cut down your range considerably especially in city driving.
If you mean 1 pedal driving, that should be switchable, and so in 2 pedal drive the brake pedal would engage regen until you press it hard enough to use the disc brakes.
I think most of the concern about adjustable regen is from people who have been in EVs where the driver hasn't learned to do 1 pedal driving right, and takes their foot off the gas completely to "coast" and the car slows too fast. You want to lift up your foot some, but not completely.

In the Jay Lenno segment he specifically asked this, they said it's nonadjustable. If ya could turn it off it seems like they would have mentioned it.

My point is you in almost any case don't want to turn it off. Having it on means when you accelerate you pull electricity out of the battery, when you slow down you put it back.
