Hmm. When I went to check the events page, I saw the fleet events page. On that page, that was the first time I've seen or heard of the "cargo kit".

Saw one in Washington last year. Almost missed the event because their website makes you dig for the event list instead of having some obvious news/update feed on the homepage...gave feedback then and they still haven't improved it.

It does make some sense, since California, Texas, and Washington are the top 3 states for EV adoption, and I believe Slate has offices in both Long Beach and Seattle.

Not that they've had more events in Seattle since then, IIRC...

Seems like the Long Beach office wants to stay within 30 minutes or less of that office, a bunch of events have been clustered south of DTLA to orange county.

They traveled more last year, I think with it getting so close to production they don’t want to waste too much money bringing a prototype slate around the country for very little gain. They likely want to save money for bringing the production version around the country for reservation test drives. Also in case there’s any unforeseen expenditures that are likely to happen before launch. It’s good to have some extra money in the budget in case you are going over budget.

Yeah I could see that i always say when I see slates wakier commercial "that's my 50 dollars putting in work right there" and lover every second we see
