So, with most stuff on-line, we hear the bad - the things a company *doesn't* do to make us happy. All sorts of sins make people go online and complain - price, service personnel, time for resolution, ease of resolution - all facilitated by the ease with which we can get online and be anonymous.

Well, I (me, personally, not Slate) made an error in pre-order. I was so excited, I clicked the pre-order button twice. And pre-ordered two trucks. Oooops. Of course, my CC was charged the $300 extra, and I was willing to swallow that (if I could get it applied to the truck purchase price - my only stipulation.)

Slate customer service emailed me back, laughed along with me about my excitement level, and refunded my $300 mistake.

I appreciate this quick and painless service, and during this time when things are probably getting a bit hectic at Slate corporate.

Nice. At first I read your story and thought you were willing to buy a second truck! Then realized you were willing to let $600 ride.

Glad they did the right thing.
