It's a minor concern, but I was wondering how easy it would be to pinch the automated LED units. Four screws, disconnect the wiring and poof. On the outside chance of that happening, would the Slate be too smart and determine it isn't safe to drive and brick it until the light is replaced?
A determined thief can steal most anything, regardless how much you worry about it.

I am not worried about anything outside the cab being stolen. One of the few benefits of the integrated car stereos is the car stereo theft problem went away. Remember back in the 80s and 90s when the aftermarket car stereos had removable faceplates to prevent theft. I wonder if I park in the city of Atlanta whether I will need to hide the bluetooth speaker and cheapo Apple CarPlay unit that will be in my Slate.
You will to keep them from melting more than walking away!

Just put an off road exhaust system so you won’t need your cats! 😉 😜
I can do that. My county has no emissions testing! Just need to rig the CEL...
