It looks like if there is a destination charge, factory pickup would not eliminate it. Destination charges are the same for the same model of car, no matter how far you are from the factory. It is an equalized charge. There is federal law involved in it.
It looks like someone should have asked about destination fees for the Q&A.

Hmmm, guess I need change my Zip code to California. Not that they ever mailed me any goodies anyway.

Regarding deliveries, I just snipped this screenshot off of a Slate follower's Facebook page. This is Slates's official position on dates. Looks like deliveries will be based on your reservation date AND Zip Code., and those closest to 46580 go first. :(

I would assume they'd prioritize zip codes with high concentrations of orders rather than proximity to Warsaw, IN.

Back when the Ford Lightning came out in 2022, mine was prioritized because of California giving more EV credits than other areas of the country...

Don't know if EV credits still are in play for manufacturers nowadays.....

Incentives or not, if I were them I'd look for areas where there are full train-car loads of orders and ship there first.

Maybe also where there are Delivery Providers and Service Providers who can handle what comes their way because that wouldn't be everywhere in the beginning.

David, just take delivery with me in ATL. You'll get it 6 months sooner!
