At least you got to face forward. My dad's S-10 had two jump seats my brother and I had to sit in on a cross country drive one summer. That's a long trip facing each other, knees together.

My 1997 Frontier King Cab had jump seats! I had forgotten that. It was a miserable place to sit, apparently.

I honestly thought it was 3 women... Notice the lady on the right has her shoulders curled.
Yeah, but at like second 8, you see the side view of the middle passenger. Dude has a beard.

Apparently Lexus got a discount on Crash Test Dummies that don't come with the Leg Kit. (Lexus convertibles have very little leg room in the back.)
Our son's teenage friend got into the back seat of our rental 2020 Camaro SS for a performance run. He said, "Oh, surprisingly roomy!". He might have managed to get his legs in the space, or my son might have pulled his seat all the way forward.

I get it that the middle headrest needs to be low profile for rearward visibility, but that is one wimpy headrest!

Slate Auto Pickup Truck 3 adults fit in second row rear bench seats. Legroom and shoulder room look! IMG_2216

You would want a little person (kid) in that middle one.

It may be easier to exit the rear seats by pulling yourself up on the roll bar and hoist yourself out 🤣

I was thinking through extended running boards to make that easier (or an outside retractable step like you see on some rear bumpers?).

Liking the small size of the Bed Step, would be nice to be just a bit longer to the edge of the door.

Both of these are what I had in mind. Agree with you on the step being a bit wider -- more of a step and less of a stirrup.

All of these things add up...I'll be in to a Scout if I'm not careful on my mods list.
