Found out from Slate, it’s not where the rear seat is, and it’s not adjustable

My 1997 Frontier King Cab had jump seats! I had forgotten that. It was a miserable place to sit, apparently. At least you got to face forward. My dad's S-10 had two jump seats my brother and I had to sit in on a cross country drive one summer. That's a long trip facing each other, knees together.

I honestly thought it was 3 women... Notice the lady on the right has her shoulders curled. Two women and an ectomorph with a manbun fit pretty well.
Three Average American Adult Males might fit a little tighter.
Yeah, but at like second 8, you see the side view of the middle passenger. Dude has a beard.I honestly thought it was 3 women... Notice the lady on the right has her shoulders curled.
Our son's teenage friend got into the back seat of our rental 2020 Camaro SS for a performance run. He said, "Oh, surprisingly roomy!". He might have managed to get his legs in the space, or my son might have pulled his seat all the way forward.Apparently Lexus got a discount on Crash Test Dummies that don't come with the Leg Kit. (Lexus convertibles have very little leg room in the back.)
You would want a little person (kid) in that middle one.I get it that the middle headrest needs to be low profile for rearward visibility, but that is one wimpy headrest!

I was thinking through extended running boards to make that easier (or an outside retractable step like you see on some rear bumpers?).It may be easier to exit the rear seats by pulling yourself up on the roll bar and hoist yourself out 🤣
Liking the small size of the Bed Step, would be nice to be just a bit longer to the edge of the door.I was thinking through extended running boards to make that easier (or an outside retractable step like you see on some rear bumpers?).
Both of these are what I had in mind. Agree with you on the step being a bit wider -- more of a step and less of a stirrup.Liking the small size of the Bed Step, would be nice to be just a bit longer to the edge of the door.![]()
