What I was going for... It changed the wheels on it's own. I've gotten good results with red plastidip on wheels so this is doable for me.

Curious about the new Ford EV truck, I asked different AIs to get under the wrap. Apparently there are rules against altering certain images and I have to work around them. I asked Co-Pilot to trace the sillouette of the truck and put it in a separate image. I thought we can then slap on the same wrap, black bra, and compare the two. Well, things didn't go as planned...

We need a separate thread for AI fails.

What are you prompting to get good results?

1) Ditch Gemini. I've never liked anything I've seen come out of it. I much prefer ChatGPT's outputs.
2) Give it reference photos. I uploaded an official Slate promo photo, plus an image of the 914.
3) Be explicit about what you want to pull from each image, and the setting.

Here's my prompt: "Give this Slate truck a wrap and color scheme inspired by the 1974 porsche 914 creamsicle. Reference photo attached. Do not alter the body lines and structure of the truck. Place the truck in an appropriately vintage race track scene."

That got me a good start. It took one additional prompt to change the text on the side from Porche to Slate, and another to color match the bumper. But honestly, I like the black bumper better.

I got decent results by giving it a photo of the Slate and telling it to apply the idea “to the attached truck”. You should be able to put in additional photos, like of the Porsche and tell it to apply the color scheme to the Slate. Gives it less internet noise to sort through.
