There’s no question that parking your Slate on a public road or parking lot will attract lots of attention in the first few months (years?) of ownership … at least until it becomes more popular.
What are your plans for installing some kind of traditional security system, other than a dash cam? Back in the day I recall “Viper” was considered the industry standard. But as OEMs started offering security systems as standard equipment, the need for aftermarket solutions somewhat cooled off.
I don’t want to carry around another fob for an alarm system. I’m hoping that aftermarket solutions can program this feature into the Slate key fob. But I think the best scenario would be a DIY solution that Slate can offer to its customers.
