I gotta be honest. I'm bored with yet another "review" of a hand-built mule that has very little in common with what will actually be built. So I'd just as soon Doug and others don't get their hands on a Slate until it has come off the actual production line.

Hmmm true reviews have been stale since no real modification have been mentioned

This has already been heavily discussed on reddit, so I'll just leave this here:

Doug Demuro knows fuck all about cars. He got famous for crashing one at a track and getting dropped from Jalopknik. His review of the slate isn't going to be about it's "quirks or features", he's going to rail on it for not having 4 doors.

His opinion means less to most of us than a dog complaining you're not throwing the ball fast enough. Nothing he says, does, or barks about is going to be of any use.

I hope he's last in line to get one. He can go suck the tailpipe of someone who cares.

Everyone has their favorite car personalities. Most of them know squat about cars and especially squat about the car industry. Or they are highly biased.

It's an entertainment industry, generating ad revenue with clicks. Some on here are fans of Clown A, others of Clown B. It's all good. If we're entertained, it's good. We can get our blood pressure all elevated arguing that our clown is superior to the other guy's clown. Be sure to take our BP meds. Or we can just laugh and enjoy the show.

Same for Slate. We can get all riled up for or against Slate, inventing "facts" from thin air and arguing with the next guy till we're red in the face, or we can chill and watch and see what happens. Our individual choice.

I agree. More 'reviews' of non-production vehicles is of little value to anyone. They may as well go attend a Slate event and talk up whatever strikes their fancy from that.
