Is anyone interested in heated seats, I'm in upstate NY and it would be nice to have.
Yes. Hoping they offer a kit as an option. Heated seats are a must in an EV without a heat pump. We’ll be afraid to use the cabin heater much when the projected range drops 50 miles. The seat takes the edge off.

I can wear gloves so heated steering wheel not so needy, but would be nice.

Our Bolt had both. Was nice. Range in the Bolt would drop from 260 to 130 or so miles in winter using the defrost and cabin heat.

My wife's Leaf has both and they are very nice. Personally I consider them not essential, but if they were options we would definitely get them.

Yes. I consider heated seats basically mandatory in an EV that's going to be driven in Michigan winters.

This set is about $65: https://www.dormanproducts.com/p-8240-628-040.aspx and I believe it could go under the zip-off fabric seat covers. It comes with a switch and wiring, I plan to get the 5-switch aux panel from Slate but if you don't want that you don't need to use two for that.

I think that's the exact set I installed in my ranger a decade ago. They worked great. Hardest part was getting the seat cover off and back on. Hopefully the Slate seat covers are as easy to come off as they seem.

Edit- I searched my emails and I ordered this exact part number in 2014 for $68.24, haha

I’d like to have heated seats also. I think the accessory line will continue to grow. I’d like full leather or vegan leather seat covers with heaters in them. I will take delivery with the stock cloth seats and just wait and see what leather covers exist when it gets closer to winter.

Also, I’m hopeful that they will offer a leather steering wheel, preferably with heat. When I bought a Honda Element years ago, I bought a leather steering wheel that was removed from a Pilot as the Pilot owners were swapping to wooden steering wheels. The Pilot wheel was direct replacement for the Element.

I’d prefer the accessories that I put on my Slate to be made for Slate and not a universal fit application that doesn’t fit very well.

I had a set in my non EV chevy Spark. They worked very good. I called them my Bun Warmers.
A set in the Slate that also have a panel for your back is what I want, and hook them to the Aux Switch panel you can get from Slate

IMHO it's likely they'll offer an official bun warmer accsessory.
Seat warmer was actually mentioned months ago by Slate in interviews, so yeah, it's got to be something they are working on. Maybe not finalized yet, but they have nearly 6 months before just about any of us will have a chance to order accessories.

Yes, I’m in Southern California and I still want seat heaters. I can’t imagine not having them living in an area that really needs them.

Yeah I vaguely recall someone from Slate talking about adding seat heat as a seat cover.

That was before I realized the seat cover is a zip-on/zip-off affair, so I thought that sounded janky because I was thinking they meant a cover over the upholstry, not replacement upholstry with the heater built in.
