That does show us they are still in demo of the old floor, and haven't started setting up the line, though they have parts for building the line already there.
Also I noticed that the assembly line mock up appeared to show seats that were quite different from the ones in the touring prototypes. No way to really know which are closer to the final product though until someone asks at one of these events.

Thanks very much for sharing this with the community! Over the years I've been involved with many large-scale facility renovations, and this brought back some memories, some good, many not.

Folks, this is a big deal. You need to personally experience the pressure that Slate is in under. Building a world class facility is not accomplished in one year. It's a work in progress that will continue to get refined, with continued moves and refinements over the years. The electrical infrastructure, distribution to the sub-assembly and final assembly lines, along with piping for compressed air, water, bottled gases, etc. is a huge undertaking. Also keep in mind that demo creates a huge amount of debris and dust particles (FOD- foreign object debris) which gets dispersed on every surface, including the roof structure. Production readiness requires that the facility is absolutely clean and FOD free.

Everyone just expects that everything will be plug and play when the assembly lines come together. Hopefully the schedule has contingency planning and workarounds when things don't go as planned. I wish them luck.

Good catch. I think the seats you see in the photos were early renditions, probably some they bought "off the shelf" for the mockups. Slate is designing, manufacturing, and assembling their own seats in house, so I would expect them to look more like what we've seen in the public displays and Slate to State events.
