Here's some bonus eye candy for the LEGO Slate truck I made.

Q: "Did you make this?"
A: Yes.

Q: "How long did it take you?"
A: All week, and then some.

Q: "Is it real LEGO?"
A: Yes... virtually. But it is designed to be built in real life using commonly found pieces.

Q: "Did you use AI?"
A: I used actual intelligence to make this. It's (mostly) structurally sound.

Q: "What are the specs?"
A: It's roughly 1:29 scale, 8 studs wide (chassis), 400+ pieces, features opening doors and bed gate, posable steering, and a detailed interior with articulated seats, steering wheel, accelerator pedal, center console with cupholders, rear view mirror, phone mount.

Q: "Can I get one?"
A: Maybe if you work at Slate...

They should include a lego set for the first 1,000 delivered Slates!

It doesn't take a psychologist to figure out why I like this truck so much...I'm a little kid with bigger toys, and I liked to improvise some in my builds.

I wonder how much it would cost to completely cover a real slate with Legos. Slate should talk with Lego and do a team-up on a show car. Or maybe a wrap that make it look like its made out of legos?

I think I prefer the Lego version over the real thing. 🙂

I can also envision a “transformers” model rolling out from Hasbro. It could be their next big project to ride on Slate’s success story.
