Maybe attach a lanyard to a "Seatbelt Cutter and Window Breaker" and hang it from your turn indicator.

I have something similar in my truck and I guess theoretically my tactical pen would do the trick if driven with enough force?

One reason the window cranks might change is 50% tariffs on imports from Brazil. That might just push it into the range of forget the cranks and just install electric by default for the same or lower cost.

Would be ironic if they flipped and made hand cranks the OPTION vs standard.

Not panicking while the car fills with water would be the hard part...
I remember from, I believe, it was a Top Gear segment where they submerged a car in water to show how to get out. Richard Hammond had a hard time not panicking and he trained for it AND had an air supply available.
