Praying you’re wrong, but fearing you might be right…Had a great time watching this video. Read that Slate has 70 prototypes for testing and certifications. And are aiming for ~700 parts to build the Slate. Excited to see how far along the company is. Cautiously waiting to see what the base and extended price would be. Been going to the Slate site and armchair guesstimating on the items I have and I’m getting SKU heavy.

The BorgWarner unit was a prototype build. Slate is going with JJE for production drive motors.Does anyone know when the Munro info was filmed? I notice they said the motor would be made by JJE, but last month they showed one by Borg Warner.
Oh, they are. Well, thats the end of my pre-order. Unless they are made jointly with Allison. The BorgWarner unit was a prototype build. Slate is going with JJE for production drive motors.
What the hell are you talking about, EVs in china have far surpassed what is offered in the US. Even model 3s made in china are betterOh, they are. Well, thats the end of my pre-order. Unless they are made jointly with Allison.
I don't trust anything made in China to get me down the road, let alone put my family in
Nice propaganda lol. Same format as the thousands and thousands and thousands of other comments that say the exact same thing across all social media. What the hell are you talking about, EVs in china have far surpassed what is offered in the US. Even model 3s made in china are better
Are you typing this on a US built computer or phone too?
I don't even know where to begin. Where do you think the ECUs, harnesses, and sensors come from in your cars right now? Where do you think the internals of your transmission comes from? Or the case?Oh, they are. Well, thats the end of my pre-order. Unless they are made jointly with Allison.

Most transmissions are not made in china nor are their materials. ECUs and sensors will vary but the plastics are sadly often from there.I don't even know where to begin.
