Did anyone else notice these updated pics on the Slate home page. That's an updated center console image, a new speaker (radio?) panel, and they no longer show the plywood with the tailgate down, probably because they moved the brake light to the tailgate (can you legally drive with the tailgate down if it hides the brake light?).

I was on the site a little while ago and did not see any difference, what device were you using? I was on my iPad

I'm on Windows desktop. I saw the changes this morning and took the screenshots, but I had never actually posted anything here so it took me a while to create an account and get approved to post. They are still there on the main Slate page about halfway down in the "Space, comfort, simplicity." section.

May have been the reason you saw something different.
Edit: I just went back on and now I can see the changes, I don’t think the Slatemaker pictures have changed though.

I agree, it’s much better to use a Windows laptop or desktop to navigate the maker. Lately my iPhone is unable to display 3D in the maker with the latest update.

I would note that the plywood photo is very much a rendering, as the grain pattern wraps and repeats along the edges of all the sheets. Also, even Home Depot doesn't sell plywood that warped.

Yeah, I don't think the maker has been updated with the speaker/audio control panel thing yet. They may have the center console updated but the coloring is different. The break light was moved from the window to the tailgate above the latch a while ago though, I'm not sure how I feel about that change.

I'd much rather it be rendering than AI, but this is in the realm of "just grab some plywood sheets for real". The truck isn't vaporware, they can just grab a prototype and some plywood.

Are we sure it isn't just a real photo that looks funny?

I can understand why they would do this. It simplifies the wiring, the break light wires can be in the same wire harness as the backup camera and they don't need to worry about wires in the bulkhead or in the SUV caps. But it may limit your ability to drive with the gate down, does anyone know the rules about this, would they very by state?

Maybe they should sell an upper brake light as an accessory, just for people who need to lower the tailgate?
