Unfortunately the Webasto H400 power folding sunroof is no longer in production. It would not have been suitable for installation in a removable rear cap as it could not manage the corrugated roof and would have to be reprogrammed every time it was disconnected. No room to fit that in the cab.

Jeep Wrangler has a similar OEM option with their Sky One-Touch Power Top

I think they meant the actual Bronco II model / trim, not the generation. Was one of my first vehicles. I think it's definitely a pretty darn close comparison if the Bronco II had a removable cap!
Back in the 70's thru 90's, there were numerous removable canopy SUV's including Ford Bronco, Chevy Blazer, Dodge Ramcharger, International Harvester Scout, Isuzu Rodeo and Toyota 4Runner. All of these were available wit ha factory installed pop-up sunroof and many more were upgraded with aftermarket pop-up sunroofs. DONMAR SKYROOF® Gen.Z is suitable for install in Slate truck cabs.

To answer my own question:
https://www.donmar.com/sunroofs/SkyroofZ/SkyroofZ.htm

"Retail prices range from $650 to $795 when professionally installed."

(I didn't realize this was a generic, already available sunroof)

And to answer my question from the other thread:
tinted solar glass is available (or maybe standard)
I can't tell if the glass is removable? Or at least opens 90 degrees?
No provisions for insect screens apparently, but that might be easy to do w/screen and magnets.

I suppose the price isn't too bad, for 2025. But I'm living in the past, the nickel candy bar, etc.

Me too, and penny candy.
very interested in this as well, but a challenge finding installer in my area. Sadly, they don’t appear interested in selling just retail, just warranty item, not installation. If I could buy it and find own installer..

It seems we will need the roll bars in the back if we want the seats back there something about the air bags but that is info from a video that came out a month ago and I haven’t seen any other info on that

Years ago, sunroof kits were sold in the box by Sears, K-Mart, JC Whitney and others. Many backyard hack jobs negatively impacted public opinion of aftermarket sunroofs... Due to the nature of cutting a hole in a vehicle roof, properly installing the sunroof, and finishing the headliner, DONMAR only supports professional installation by qualified technicians. Installation has everything to do with long term customer satisfaction.

We have dealers in every state, however not every dealer is conveniently located for every customer. On the mainland, driving a bit further is far more convenient than island hopping in HI. Hopefully, you will be able to buy your new Slate with the sunroof already installed and included in the finance package.

I'm not gonna speak too much about it as I'm sure it's not what Slate would want to hear, but I'm not sure what would be stopping the end-user from just installing the seats with nothing else in the back. IF they are just bolt-in accessories they'd just be separate parts. Not that I'd want to be back there in a crash. Although I'm going to go out on a limb and assume on these the seatbelts are mounted to the roll-bar. Heck, some states allow riding in the back of pickups still, someone's probably going to eventually mount them backwards like a Subaru Brat.

My Geo has short barely-higher-than-shoulder height posts for the rear passenger seatbelts so you can imagine the crash protection you get back there.

I’m prettt sure in the rich builds video, the head of eng states the suv kit, included the roll bars and topper. He also said the glass and top was removable when speaking on the suv configuration.

Floor drains are a good idea.

Maybe a no flooring option so we can roll on some bed liner.
I think that is what you get unless you add flooring. The maker has options to add rubber or carpet mats and rubber or carpet liners. I don't know that you'd need bed liner, as it appears to have a black plastic floor similar to the bed.
