It looks super cool, but it needs a 'full panel' sunroof that makes the experience in the front as good as the back.

An old Chevy van.
I watched a video advertised at the end of the above video. The link to that additional video is not available now. It was showing the Slate truck at a reveal event and gave the Slate starting price as $27,500.

Why is it that every wrap I've seen is a mat or flat finish? I know they have chrome wrap too. I am a glossy and chrome guy.

The gloss wraps I've seen all have a weird plasti-dip look to them. Not sure why that is, maybe they were just lower quality material. You don't get the same deep luster you get with paint and a gloss coat. Matte, satin, pearl, or flake paint is usually more of a premium thing, and they're easily reproducible finishes in a wrap.

Or go retro with T-Tops you can stash behind the pickup seat. :)

I agree with your sentiment whole-hartedly, but it doesn't appear to be likely to happen, at least with the OG model.

Maybe it's because matte wrap is more "forgiving" about surface imperfections than glossy wrap.

That, or it could just be that they do that because matte is out-of-the-ordinary.

Probably not initially, and perhaps not from Slate, but there looks to be plenty of opportunity to work with...

I think this version might pull in a few people who are cross-shopping a 2-door Wrangler as a daily-driver. The dimensions are very similar, but the Slate looks much roomier in this video.

YES! T-tops like my 1979 Monte Carlo! I wouldn't even know where to start on getting some fabricated? The mechanism could be the same as the OG. Something like a porsche 911 targa, lotus elise, toyota mr2, and the ubiquitous firebird/corvettes?
