I think I've temporarily burnt out on Slate topics. I don't think I'm the only one. We all got pretty jazzed up at price and delivery window time.

Now the wait.

Too many unknowns, dead ends, misdirections, Ford FUD and so on.

Therefore, to the Slate gods, I request entrance into a time machine to advance 4 months. If not available, put me in a sleep pod for 4 months. To the Slate Auto corporation, I request you have answers to our many and varied questions by mid December or so. Please don't open up actual orders with all these questions still hanging in the air.

Thank you.

Laws, I feels ya. So, I did the obvious thing, I put in a reservation on a Scout!

So, I’ll start easing my way over there some and see what kind of new things there are to learn there, while we wait for pricing and scheduling and delivery of the Slate over here.

I hope they are kind…

With the dealers suing for a piece of the scout sales, and the shambles that VW is in, I'm expecting the Scout division to be divested before it ships.

Let’s hope “refundable” is!

Lol, I think that restlessness and excitement is what led me to look into REO and Telo.😅

At least we're not talking about the way-back machine with Mr Peabody and his boy Sherman. I don't think I could take the puns that each of those cartoons ended with.

I have been chasing down Santa Cruz's and Rivian's like Snoopy after the neighbor's car, though, so perhaps I have another version of your malady. Arf, arf!

Friends, this heat and humidity has fried my brain. I was on a 600 acre property yesterday and string-trimmed about 2 acres in a field, in the sun. Gallons of water later, I drove home in a daze. I came home, had dinner and wrote this.

This morning, I wake up, and tend my garden. It is 10am and the heat index is already 98F. I am soaked in sweat. I may be delirious.

I believe my hope to jump ahead 4 months is not just about the Slate "vacuum of detailed information," but also a desire to see temperatures in the 50s and 60s (southeast USA).

I think the southeastern US weather patterns now are straight from the nineties to the thirties and back. No more spring or fall for week-kneed slackers, just tough weather for tough guys.

Amen. It’s been moist in GA too.

I’d complain about our rain, but on second thought, better than the heat

This is one of the few times in the year when the f****** arctic is actually pretty nice.
No crazy rain and mid 70s to mid 80s!
