Won't save you the destination fees but it can be a fun trip if you have the time.

Isn't the DCFC limit something low like 120kW? I drove a Bolt EUV from central Florida to Memphis in January of 2023, with 55kW max DCFC, and it was doable but I was trying to get home in a weekend. Keep in mind that with that car, and likely the Slate, 55kW max doesn't mean 55kW from start to finish. I would pull up to a station, plug in, and while waiting (45-60 minutes) 800v cars would pull up (Ioniq 5, EV6) plug in and charge their larger batteries in less time. Lot's of factors can affect charging performance.

Google searching Warsaw, IN to "Minnesota" says its about 700 miles, looks like google chose the center of the state since the exact town wasn't included. The standard pack with an EPA rated range of 150 miles will likely net you about 100 on the highway so you'll be stoping about every 90 minutes to charge.

Another concern is to be sure all charge point operators, CPO's, have Slate vehicles in their systems and ready to charge. It would be super unfortunate if one, or several, did not have Slate set up, this could cause massive delays in your trip. Also, be sure to book a hotel with EV charging, this is the best, you plug in when you go to bed and wake up with a full battery. Hotel charging is usually Level 2 so it shouldn't matter who the CPO is for that hotel.
