Yeah, my wife and I are going to have to drive to Detroit sometime in the Fall. It’s 3 hours one way from Columbus, Ohio and we’ll definitely stay overnight. It’s best to look for other stuff to do while you’re there, which shouldn’t be hard since it’s Chicago. I’m not sure about Detroit. Looking it up now.

We need those dates Slate, so we can plan ahead!
My Son and I will be at the Detroit stop. I’m about 20 miles east of Columbus, so it will be about 3-1/2 hours for us. Iā€˜m hoping that it will be at the beginning of October or sooner. šŸ¤ž
There are plenty of things to do in Chicago, but like yourself, not sure about the Detroit area.

Still waiting for something in the Pittsburgh area.
Pittsburgh would most definitely be a good stop. It’s about 3 hours for me which is about the same drive time as Detroit with the exception of having family 15 minutes south of Pittsburgh with a guest room.
