Really like the light-colored interior & seats. I wonder if that's stock? Hope so.
Would also like to know what on this sample are available accessories and what (if any) are special customization. Looking good!

I also went! They had me check-in since I had a reservation, the rep I talked said they are planning to start production this summer and should have test drivers out this fall. She's not entirely sure on the locations, but it sounds like it should just be a truck carrying some Slates around to the same places they are visiting now or around big events in cities.

With some A/T tires, would probably handle a little mud and gravel just fine. (Warning: Not intended for large herds - you ain't gonna be pulling a hay wagon with this truck).
Hmm... I routinely move loaded hay wagons with our electric golf cart. Why wouldn't this be able to do that? To be fair, I'm talking about moving the old hay wagons that start going unstable at 25mph from a field to the barn. (I'm in the flat part of Ohio.) Maybe you are referring to a big gooseneck that is hauling hay over the mountains.

My golf cart is limited to about 800#. If you had a stripped Slate, you could tow twice that? My 6x10' trailer weighs 800# empty....so, I guess it depends on whether you're hauling wet hay or dry straw and the number/size of the bales...(this is devolving into nerdy farm talk, my apologies -- can't take the farm out of the boy?) .

Idle thought that probably won't be very popular. Since Slate is "only what you need", one off-the-wall idea is that they should have just sold it as a flatbed...
You're too modest. That's an intriguing thought and would be popular with me. A flatbed could be a terrific DIY platform.
