New Video of Slate Driving. Confirmed to be real by Slate Auto:

Oh, it's real. Real footage, real truck, real driver (his name is Josh, everyone say hi to Josh).

Folks, I’m going on a wild guess here, but I’m speculating that this footage is a sneak preview of the Slate’s newly demo’d and renovated factory in Warsaw IN. They are converting over the RR Donnelley printing facilities with new LED high bay lighting, painted block walls, RTUs with circular HVAC ductwork, etc. Been involved with too many similar projects over the years. 😳

Where else would Slate drive inside a huge empty factory in which they have exclusive access?

I know they had said the renovations would go tell October but if this is the Warsaw plant maybe it might be sooner depending on what they need to do

seems too early for the factory to look that good, they said they had asbestos remediation, vast electrical improvements, and a lot of concrete work to get done

I believe they just got the keys to the plant a couple of weeks ago, last i heard they were putting up a fence

now i do understand the guys that put up the fence are not doing any of the other work so it is likely they will have several crews working at the same time

and some of the work can be done in an area of the plant that will be used first and other work later on

it would be nice to see updates on the plant

True it could be a place in ca where they do photos shoots or movies
I've watched the video many times and it does not look real, the movements seem too smooth, the driver is just a barely visible blur, the dust off the tires seems generated, the whole video seems Computer Generated

nah to many variable lighting effects to be fake and the guy on the inside is very visible in certain frames you can make out his face and headset

I'm actually not too sure if it is CGI. The locked on view from the side could be done with a side mounted Go Pro, like many people do on YouTube for drag racing, street racing, etc. The building seems relatively normal too. I'm betting on it being real, probably filmed in their new factory location, which would be empty right now due to upcoming building rework.

To my totally uncalibrated untrained eyes (with Invisalign bifocals) looks legit. Post production cleaned up everything they don't want to distract.

Having worked with a large commercial printing client and spent a fair amount of time at the plant, I suspect the ceiling clearance is too low and the columns are too close together for it to be the new plant location.
