It's just a standard 7" headlight. I forget who but someone had that confirmed on the forum from either a chat or from an interview.
Can you give some examples of a standard 7" headlight? I'm having a hard time imagining what that would look like since so many headlight assemblies these days are unique to their model vehicle with standardized bulbs for the housing.

Just do a search for 7 inch round headlight and click on images. Now half of those are going to be motorcycle headlights, and some others have things like turn signals built in, but you can quickly see there are lots of options.

See the Jeep Wrangler from 1997 to 2018. Numerous motorcycles, and the NA Miata just off the top of my head. If you go back 30-35 years-ish, thousands of vehicle had standard rectangular or round headlights. As stated, search on amazon "7" headlight" and you'll be hit by infinite amounts of options.

My first thought was the sealed beam H6024, which I have on my CJ-7. I didn't think Chrysler used that same incandescent/halogen H6024 on the TJ & JK - did they? I doubt Slate would use the H6024, but I could be wrong.

Edit: I found at this O'reilly Auto Parts page that the H6024 sealed beam headlamp was used until 2006. Not sure what was used after?

I actually contacted them through chat about exactly this. The basic answer I go is definitaly not under warrnty as DIY, unknown if they will service parts for the pack, or just the pack at this time, and same goes for parts availalability.

My guess is since it's a supplied component from SK-on, Slate won't have parts for it, because that is not their product. With that said, you could definitely find parts for the pacts once someone opens one up and sees what other vehicle use the same components (Munro, early tear down please?). All I really hope is the battery is gasket sealed and not glued, that single choice make a battery easy to repair to a huge pain.
But then it raises the issue that it's a Federal requirement that the battery has an 8 year/100,000 warranty. So if the battery pack quits will they send you a new one and refund any costs associated with having a garage replace it. I'm hoping they battery pack will be reliable but if not, how will it work?

No but they used the same mounts with non-sealed light. So just the bulb can be replaced. Also Yeah may have gotten that wrong, though TJ used the modern style. My bad. Still same mounts

They have already stated all warranty work with go through Repair Pal service centers (national coverage, basically it’s a booking app/site for shops to get business, and use fir scheduling so you’ll have a large selection if locations likely near you, you can search them now for whats in your area). Anything that’s warranty can go through any repair pal center that will take you in basically, Slate will pay that shop similar to how 3rd party warranties work now. Also, as they stated, smaller warranty repairs can be done at home (no full details yet), but I’m sure uou aren’t going to get paid labor, easy way to have Slate save money for those who don’t trust shops for things they can do at home.

All the more reason for Slate to also provide a paint formula that is best to use on the plastic body or sell a paint kit as an option instead of wrap.

My 2-cents.
I've been seeing quite a few Bronco hard tops around that have the plastic tops painted all sorts of colors. They look really well done. I have been rooting around their owners forums to see what was used for those.

Those tops are a fiberglass material, just like Jeep. Both just get painted with the exact same paint at the same time as the metal panels

oh interesting, I didn't know they were different from the really basic ones I was seeing. I did some digging and there are indeed two hardtop types on the Broncos:

This is a video from Truck Camper Hybrid, looking at Camper Shells for small trucks like the Slate.
Seems like the bed length and width needs to be considered for larger space areas. Small manufacturers I’m sure are looking at the sales potential of vehicles like the Slate. All for options, big and small. DIY and read-made.

Thanks. Do you think this is the type of headlamp Slate will use? I'm not so sure they will, but that's just me.
What's shown on the demo trucks has been a projector lamp, I haven't seen one online that quite matches, but there are a LOT of round 7 inch headlamps out there.
