This is a $65 kit with a 4.2 star rating that will install power windows onto your slate.

Once the slate is released you can count on some hobbyists figuring out the best way to install and which kit to buy. They might have STL files for the exact gear to connect the motor to the slate. They will identify the best mounting points, where to cut the mount brackets etc.

the one thing a dedicated slate kit could do would be to replace the pinion gear which sticks out of the door so the motor can attach with a low profile pinion gear and the old spindle doesnt stick out of the door.

Alternately slate could use a low profile crank spindle that doesnt stick out of the door. So when you remove the handle, you can just pop in a cap to cover the hole.

I'm probably one of the most vocal need-PW guys here, but I'll pass on this. I did research universal PW kits some time ago, including this one, and determined that "universal" in this sense was "hack" and not for my Slate.

I'll wait for Slate to provide a kit, and I believe they will, and then buy that kit.

I love redneck DIY videos. After watching this, I’m even more confident that an easy window roller solution will work.

These employ plastic/nylon splined adaptors that slide over the stem, and needs to be fully seated and concentric; otherwise eventual failure. SPAL was an old player in this game but is gone now.

The best way is to identify the mechanism, find the provider, and search for the powered version. It should be a big name player. It's either linear- or scissor-type.

Lastly is the cosmetic cap that covers the stem and makes it look like you broke off the handle LOL!!

Very common in many customs/hot rods/street rods/classics these day. No reason for any buttons, simply use the SLATE handle and voila! Of course, after a lot of cussing and thrown tools as most automotive modifications are NOT as EZ as they are sold to us as. But it can work...with determination and patience!
