Have fun doing the audio. It's easier than it seems. I've done so many in my life. First was a quadraphonic 8-track in a Ford Falcon. I've never done a double-din though. Looking forward to it.
My falcon needs a radio but its low on the list. I imagine I will get to it before the Slate comes out though.

Going back to the first of my friends getting a car and time for a stereo upgrade. I was always a wiz with electronics so I took to car stereos like a duck to water. No internet for help either. Trial and error and I got pretty dang good at it. So much so if anyone in my high school wanted stereo work done, I was the guy. Should have went for some type of engineering degree but was also very good at math so BBA in Finance it was. Have not used the degree in 30 years. LOL

I digress. My solution for stereo is this with my phone as the source:

Yes, mailing it in but I think it will fit my old man needs just fine. Well, may add a sub. LOL.

I work for U-Haul (but don’t speak for the company blah blah)

This is an AO (you can tell by the equipment number that’s not blurred). Quick reference:

FS = 4x7 open no ramp
UV = 4x8 enclosed, no ramp
AO = 5x8 open, no ramp
AV = 5x8 enclosed, no ramp except those that end in -S (I.e., AV5678S would have a ramp)
RT = 5x9 open, with ramp
RO = 6x12 open, no ramp
HO = 6x12 open, with ramp
RV = 6x12 enclosed, no ramp (except some in testing that would also end in -s)

The trailer clearly shows that it is a 5x9, so you are both wrong, lol.

It does look like the 5x8 trailer though, the 5x9 trailer on the U-Haul site has a full ramp. maybe this is one that the ramp was damaged and they modified, or they have more than what is advertised on their site.

Good eye!

That's interesting though, as it would also mean they did the test noticeably above their stated tow rating... So they're either doing that for an additional safety factor or considering upping the rating a couple hundred pounds.

In addition to the possibility of some rampless 5x9's floating around, it's also possible that the tailgates are interchangeable and they swapped it over to reduce aero drag (or even just for appearances) for the test.
