I plan to integrate an android tablet instead of using my phone.
My eyes appreciate a bigger screen.
I don't see summer cooling as a big issue when driving as I plan to find an articulating mount & arm allowing me to raise the tablet into the airflow from the AC vents on hot days, but still allow me to swing the tablet out of the way to allow access to the center compartment.

By the way, there are tablet holders that have a built-in fan to assist with cooling.
But in NJ I don't expect to need this:

When I arrive home I will bring the tablet inside my home. But what to do with it when parked somewhere away from home for hours at a time?

For security and temperature control I plan to place the tablet behind the passenger seat in one of these very sophisticated, and yet covert, storage units, or a similar brand.
Something that would appear to prying eyes to contain nothing more valuable than my lunch.

Whatever fits back here:

For hot days if I'll be parked an extended time I might even deploy additional environmental conditioning with 1 or 2 of these:

Or. . . you could get a stick-on printed graphic of a broken screen. . .
