I guess we’ll see if Slate gets access. They have the proper charge port and a relatively small battery pack, so I would think they’d certainly want the option.

My town has no superchargers, and the nearest one is one town over, or about 20 miles, and another 40 miles away. HOWEVER, looking at the Tesla supercharger map on their own site shows that my town is allegedly getting one. It doesn't have a location yet but is marked 'coming soon.'

Shame that Tesla Superchargers are not common in your area.

As for compatibility, Slate will most likely use only the newer V3 and V4 towers as the communication link supports charging non Teslas.

I have so many of SC nearby, but only 2/3 are usable with my Ford EV.
The other 1/3 are older V2 chargers that are not compatible with non Teslas.

At least I have the benefit of being able to Level 2 at home prior to a trip. That gets me to at least the nearest big city where all of the supers are at. I was fiddling around with A Better Route Planner to see what my longest day-trip distance usually is (165 miles), and luckily there's two superchargers along that route that only adds about 30 minutes to my total round trip for a Base Slate.

Edit: There's a good bank of superchargers and a car wash right next to the destination, that's convenient!
