Blank Slate. Standard battery.
Maybe a wrap, but i'd actually like to install myself so that might come later.

This will be my first EV, so convince me I don't need the larger battery. Most of my driving is less than 60 miles round trip.

What I did was make a spreadsheet of trips greater than the standard milage and determined cost of those trips (potential savings if EV) that gave me a ballpark # as to MY value of the extended battery. So for me, if extended battery is $2500 or more, than likely No.

If you keep the battery between 20% and 80% that is 60% of the total battery or with a battery of 150 miles, gives 90 miles. The question becomes how much battery will you have in the winter. I expect you would have around 60 miles of the original 90 miles. So you would have enough battery, barely. A quote on the addition of the larger battery is $5,000.

I’m opting for the larger battery for a few reasons, one of them being that in 20 years, I want my Slate Truck to still have reasonable range. If the standard pack loses 20% of its capacity over time, that only leaves me with ~70 miles of range if I maintain the 20-80% rule. That goes up to ~115 for the larger battery, with a max of 192 with 20% degradation.

Retired hipster here. Looking to give it a go coming from a little Fiesta ST.

Specs I am considering:

1. Extended Range Battery (…for sure…I travel for work every now and then so this is a must)
2. Fast Back topper (no rear seats if possible - I pray that rear shield is operable! Love the hatch life for storage and hauling)
3. Full Wrap (Thinking about some retro color type…tired of monochrome…I need color!)
4. 17” Alloy Wheels with Summer Tires (Atlanta City Driving - keeping it efficient - I hope…)
5. Brown/Green/Brass Interior Upholstery and accessories (…see reason from item 3…)
6. Center and side speakers in dash (Must have a loud system to blast my tunes..)
7. Phone Mount (…for now…I heard they may be creating a feature to for us to install a single din radio. May go that route in the future…need buttons to avoid a wreck and keep my eyes on the road!)
8. Magma keyfob (…seems cool. I dig it…)

I am only stuck on what suspension to go with as the last item. I enjoy the low ride like I have now that makes turns a blast but at the same time I also like the slight lift look wise. I doubt ill ever off-road it so I dont need it for that reason. But it sure looks cool. (Ill probably go standard…)

Of course my wish list will be modified once the pricing is released. I just hope it doesn’t get to expensive and I have to reconsider the whole idea. Can’t commit to the unknown.

  1. Extended battery
  2. Wrapped first Fiat color (free range egg yoke orange)
  3. Lift kit
  4. Center console
  5. Slate decal down the side
  6. Bluetooth Speakers *
  7. Spare tire mount
  8. Heated seats*

The only thing that has me on the fence is the battery loses capacity over time and you charge from 20-80%

so I dont need the extended battery now, but 10 years from now I might.

My current truck is 15 years old - I like to keep my cars for as long as possible.

I have reserved the blankest of slates. Literally don't need any extras, just a car that gets me around town. I drive way, way less in the winter in Michigan anyways.

If you can assume that the center console is needed for a cup holder then for sure that. Otherwise extended battery for sure. I'll eventually wrap it probably green with a white top.

I'm undecided still on the extended battery, but probably will.
Getting the center console, and having it wrapped.

Thats it for me!
