you are right, I am TRIGGERED!!!!

This guy seems like he is a hater, he seems to think that no one wants this

he keeps stating that its the same price as a Maverick... with the EV credit (if its around at the time of sale)

Not everybody wants a 4 door (he states everyone wants a 4 door)

its frustrating to watch all these guys shitting on new options - all the "failed" 2 door vehicles are ICE

now this will not be my primary vehicle, this will be a 3rd vehicle

he doesnt understand that this truck is an intro EV, techy, fun

I hope he eats his words

Lots of blanket statements that nobody wants this, or everyone wants that. I can't speak for everyone, just myself. And there's a reason why I don't have a truck right now. The truck I want doesn't exist, yet.

He could be an “car influencer”? Not he is not..!!! Just a video magazine about cars. He doesn’t have the true in his hands.!! I think he is completely wrong. And remember the maverick before tariff was expensive a and now more. So there’s not ford vehicles under 30k..!!!

What is techy and fun about it? Its slow to accelerate, slow to charge, and is BYOD (Bring Your Own Device).

Well, maybe you are correct, but electric intrigues me, I like the tech behind it, I do not think it’s the answer but it’s neat, maybe not corvette cool but in my opinion the little pickup and customization is cool

both are reason enough for me to purchase

Doug has become quite wealthy understanding the automotive market.
But even that… he doesn’t have the true in his hands!! That’s a typical society mistake.. someone is the “guru” of something “for free by the way” and the others follow him with a blind faith..! And that is a big mistake. anyone can be wrong because about anything at the end of the history.. we are all humans.

I think the investors are going to be a huge part of sucess

I believe the team they put together

I believe their marketing department keeping it in front of everyone

look at the size of the plant they bought in Warsaw, IN

a long way to go until production but I’m optimistic and intend on buying

I think he is right in that most people want 4 doors, I think he is wrong in thinking there will be no demand for an inexpensive 2 door truck. I won't buy a Maverick because it is not an EV. I won't buy any of the current EV pick-ups because they are too big. Keep in mind the compact trucks were actually killed by the EPA not the lack of demand. EPA structured their regulations by producing a chart of allowable emissions based on the product of the wheelbase and the wheel track. Small truck manufacturers quickly learned it was much easier to make the truck a little bigger than to invest in the technology to clean the emissions. Every year the EPA tightened the regulations which forced the automakers to make the vehicle a little bigger so they could meet a more lax EPA regulation. When the wheelbases start getting longer you got to add more bed or more cab or both. Trucks the size of the Slate were very popular for commercial applications prior to EPA intervention. Remember driving by Autozones and Advance Auto Parts Stores and seeing 2 white regular cab Rangers in the parking lot that they were using for delivering auto parts to repair shops? I have my reservation and hope they are getting enough interest to bring it to market. When I first saw the spy photos, I thought as long as they have a frunk under that hood to address the primary drawback of a small regular cab truck they will have a winner.

I think they make the right decisions.!

the only way to survive like company.. is just produce one model, simple and the lowest price possible.

the DIY is an amazing and smart thing that any other company hasn’t .!! They want exclusivity and hook you with warranties and service forever.!

the customization with a official options plus (I’m sure of this) the aftermarket options will be blow out ours brain.!

When they survive for some years.. yes they can produce another and different base model.

looks Canoo… lots option, super cool… but they are almost death..! Is too expensive start producing that variety/.!! Is suicidal.!!

I believe in slate project. There’s nothing like them . And I think the people will love it

But according to the White House:

"For Canada and Mexico, the existing fentanyl/migration IEEPA orders remain in effect, and are unaffected by this order. This means USMCA compliant goods will continue to see a 0% tariff, non-USMCA compliant goods will see a 25% tariff, and non-USMCA compliant energy and potash will see a 10% tariff."

Cars are part of the USMCA.

From a Ford F150 Lightning EV owner for a year, I concur.

$70,000 and would not fit in my garage, U turns were abysmal, and driving in urban Los Angeles was a nightmare (too much driver input required).

Looked at the Maverick and didn't want gas.

Rivian was a mid size that I considered but back then it was a wait list.

Slate will be a welcome addition to my daily drive EV...

Luckily, my workplace has L2 and DCFC available.
