Cranking up the brightness I'm seeing the new third taillight, the rear window without the big hinges, very interesting. Also no center plastic lug covers.

Hood pins holding the hood down is interesting, although I'm sure much easier for evaluation work to be able to open the hood externally. The grill and headlight surrounds also look to be a shiny black type plastic instead of matte, but I'm sure that's purely prototyping stuff.

Color matched spoiler too. I wonder if that's going to be part of the wrap kits.
It's also the first one I've ever seen with color-matched rocker panels instead of black. I wonder if those are sample shots of parts that will eventually be dyed gray, or if they are actually wrapped in white. I have to say I don't mind it!

I'm a little surprised by the shape of the hitch, looks like they've got an upside-down adjustable ball mount. I guess too many years of looking at trucks that are stupidly tall has me accustomed exclusively to hitches that have a large drop and very little rise!

Do we think you could open the tailgate with that hitch and trailer installed? On most trailers, you have to worry about the jack, but this little 4x7 doesn't have one... I'm not usually thinking about the tailgate hitting the top of the coupler!

Looks like someone pushed the doors open too far.

Body condition gives 20yo Ford Ranger vibes. I hope the frame's not rusted through.

I'm thinking Mater got the rattle can and not a wrap.

I just have to say it….it’s a damn good looking truck. I’m growing tired of the “you can get a 4 door loaded Maverick for 28K. You are correct. Problem is, it’s ugly. I’m down with Slate.

Those are good thoughts. I’d get a long receiver hitch, but would then be relying on whatever this partial gate opening option is. The Lightning was tall enough that it was never a problem. Same with F150’s. I don’t remember on my Ridgeline, Frontier or Hardbody.
